Privacy policy

Admitix collects personal information to sell tickets and run events. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights under the Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

• Name, email address, and optional phone number at checkout.
• Order details, ticket types, and whether you opted into email about future shows.
• Payment status and identifiers from Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's checkout pages. We do not store full card numbers.
• Technical logs such as IP address and browser type, used to run and secure the site.

Why we use it

• To take payment, issue QR tickets, and send order email.
• To give door lists to the venue or promoter so they can admit you.
• To handle refunds, disputes, and customer support.
• To email future shows only if you ticked Keep me in the loop at checkout. We store that you consented, when, that it was at checkout, and which wording you saw.
• To meet legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention duties.

Who we share it with

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to card data.
• Resend — sending ticket and transactional email.
• Supabase — hosting the database that stores orders and tickets.
• The event promoter and venue — attendee names and ticket types needed for door and safety.

Some of those services store data outside New Zealand. We use them because they are needed to take payment and deliver tickets. You can ask us who currently processes data for your order.

Retention

We keep order and ticket records for as long as needed for entry, refunds, accounting, and legal claims, then delete or anonymise them when they are no longer required.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails or by writing to us. To make a privacy request, email hello@admitix.band.nz. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
